Marlay Demesne

Marlay Demesne or Park is one of several regional public parks in the Dún Laoghaire/Rathdown area of County Dublin. Found in Rathfarnham, Marlay is an extensive 100 hectare historic demesne which lies at the foothills of the Dublin Mountains. The demesne contains many important historic features, including a restored Georgian House, courtyards and regency walled gardens. It is also home to lawns, fine old trees and a number of large ponds fed by the Little Dargle River as it runs through the park.

Marlay Demesne caters for various sporting activities, including football, soccer, tennis, par-3 golf, cricket, orienteering and running. The demesne also includes children’s play facilities and hosts a range of events throughout the year.
