About this event

On the First Friday of every month, the Museum of Literature Ireland (MoLI) opens late (from 6pm to 9pm) for free admission and a special programme of events including writer interviews, musical & dance performances, poetry readings & spoken word.

Join us on 3 November from 6pm for First Fridays! The museum will be open for free from 6-9pm, featuring a range of programmed events, including the launch of the online version of Into the Island (our exhibition on Peig Sayers & the Blasket storytelling tradition), as well as a reading by Jane Clarke. We will have a limited number of whiskey tasting samples, courtesy of the Dublin Liberties Distillery. The Commons Café is also open late!

This First Friday is also a chance to see our new exhibition Ink & Imagination, containing letters & manuscripts from famous Irish authors, such as James Joyce, Edna O’Brien, Maeve Binchy & Frank McGuinness, alongside contemporary filmed readings from UCD’s Irish Poetry Reading Archive.
