The Blackrock Walking Trail will treat you to a beautiful seafront, a wonderful Victorian park and lake, a quirky market, and a range of shops, cafés and restaurants. Blackrock is a vibrant coastal village 15 minutes south of Dublin City by train.

The Blackrock Walking Trail begins at Blackrock DART station, which dates from 1834. Meander along Idrone Terrace with its distinctive Regency style architecture, and take in the spectacular views across Dublin Bay to Howth.

As you continue onto Main Street you will pass Blackrock Library, a Carnegie building, and opposite there you will see Blackrock Roman Catholic Church with its Harry Clarke and Evie Hone stained glass windows.

See the shops on Main Street, and the landmark 12th century granite cross. Visit the quirky market and eventually make your way to Blackrock Park. This Victorian park contains such treasures as the restored 19th century tearooms and bandstand, a Martello tower, a picturesque pond, often with swans, and a well equipped children's playground.
