About this event

Step into Joyce’s world on Bloomsday with a dramatisation and guided walk through Dalkey, uncovering the town’s surprising links to James Joyce.

Discover where he once taught – the Clifton School on Dalkey Avenue – the very setting of the Nestor episode in Ulysses.

As you stroll beneath leafy canopies, you’ll understand the scene where “the sun flung spangles, dancing coins.”

This special event includes a captivating dramatisation of the schoolroom scene from Ulysses, performed in Dalkey Castle, bringing the Nestor episode to life.

Part of the Bloomsday Festival, supported by Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council.
