Did you know that the Vikings played a boardgame called Hnefatafl? And that the Monks of Glendalough played Nine Men's Morris?
Drop into the Museum, learn how to play Hnefatafl and Nine Men's Morris and even make your own board games and counters to bring home with you. Hnefatafl was a board game that was brought to Ireland by the Vikings, and Nine Men's Morris was a board game popular all over Medieval Europe.
No booking required. Located in the Learning Resource Room, First Floor.
Not wheelchair accessible. Ages 8+yrs
