About this event
In this calligraphy workshop, learn the first steps on how to write in the script of insular majuscule, the script used by scribes to write manuscripts in early medieval Ireland. Using templates inspired by Timothy O’Neill’s book The Irish Art of Calligraphy, published by the Royal Irish Academy, to learn how to form ‘I’ and ‘O’ in insular majuscule, the foundation letters which help to shape and create many other letters in the script.
No booking required. Located in the Learning Resource Room, First Floor. Not wheelchair accessible. This workshop is for families.
