The Old Punch Bowl Bar

The Old Punch Bowl Bar and restaurant is situated in Booterstown, County Dublin, along the seafront. The interior décor of this old coach house pays homage to the architectural style of the 1800s.

The Old Punch Bowl Bar is a family run pub with the quaint warm atmosphere of days gone by. It was once the haunt of notorious highwaymen in the late 17th century and was first licensed in 1779, when the landlord at the time served such notorieties as Fitzwilliam’s, Barons of Thorncastle, and Viscounts of Merrion.

The Old Punch Bowl has a comfortable, welcoming and warm atmosphere of an Irish pub, with regular live sessions of traditional Irish music every Monday and Tuesday.

Food is served all day in the rustic atmosphere of the bar. The upstairs restaurant serves European cuisine, specialising in seafood, meat and vegetarian dishes at excellent value for money.

Situated beside the Booterstown Dart Station, The Old Punch Bowl is the ideal place for relaxing and is an atmospheric local gem.
