Irish Women In Jazz presents: Hayley Kavanagh Quartet

Hayley Kavanagh, a Dublin-based saxophonist and flautist, returned to Ireland in 2023 after spending a total of seven years abroad. Since returning, Hayley has been actively engaged in the Jazz scene in Dublin. She leads various ensembles and contributes as a sideman in collaborative projects. She is also the co-founder of the Arthur’s Jazz Jam in Arthur’s Blues & Jazz Club and the Jazz Event Guide ‘Cookin’ Dublin’.

On September 29th she will be performing with her quartet – Eric Doyle (guitar), Fionn Ruadh (bass), Niall Crichton (drums) – in the Vintage Room, Workman’s Club.

Hayley will present new compositions as well as a selection of tunes from some of her biggest influences from the hard bop era, such as Joe Henderson and Hank Mobley.
