About this event
This talk will discuss art, history and place blending a tour of the exhibitions with further information about The Pumphouse site located on what was formally a graving docks. Considering the function of the graving docks-for the repair and maintenance of ships and as a site of assemblage – and, set against an impressive maritime landscape with the constant flow of movement between nature and the manmade, this talk will identify connections bridging 'Longest Way Round Shortest Way Home' to the history of the location, dredging up subtle references to the surface for inspection and reflection.
Meet at the orange cabin at the entrance to The Pumphouse.
Curated by Temple Bar Gallery + Studios, in partnership with Dublin Port Company.
