Film Screening: Winners

Screened to mark Nowruz (Persian New Year), Winners is set in a small town in Iran and follows nine-year-old Yahya and his friend Leyla who work in a local rubbish dump to support their families. In his free time, Yahya loves to watch movies and one day the children find an Academy Award statue that takes them on a huge adventure. Directed by Hassan Nazer, the film is a tribute to Iranian cinema.
