Female Energy: Dancehall & Twerk

This class will be a fusion of two dance styles that have a great impact on woman-identified's energy: Female Dancehall and Twerk. For many, moving or exploring the pelvic area is just sexual but this is an outdated and wrong misconception that only puts woman-identified bodies as objects.

In this workshop Lucille Aires brings the queens in the room to explore their pelvic area and move their whole body bringing awareness to the place that holds trauma and, at the same time, life. Lucille has seen the transformative power of these dances in many woman-identified and can’t wait to share it during The Five Lamps Arts Festival 2024.
