Starting from Sweny's Pharmacy in the heart of Dublin City, this walking tour explores the life and work of James Joyce, tracing his development from an aspiring young writer to the author of Dubliners, A Portrait of the Artist as a Young Man and Ulysses. The tour visits locations associated with Joyce and the places that helped shape his imagination.

The Poetry Stroll also highlights the lives and achievements of other writers and artists including Oscar Wilde, Lady Jane Wilde, Æ (George Russell) and Susan L. Mitchell, highlighting the rich literary and artistic community that once flourished around Merrion Square.
