Monday Night Cinema: Poor Things

Poor Things is an adaptation of the novel by Scottish author Alasdair Gray, about a young woman (Emma Stone) brought back to life by a doctor (Willem Dafoe), who has to relearn how to exist within Victorian society.

Scientist Dr Godwin Baxter spent years attempting wild experiments before his greatest, still secret success: bringing a young woman, Bella, back from the dead. Initially childlike and naive, reanimated Bella is kept locked inside the Baxter house.
