Glasnevin Cemetery is hosting Winter Solstice Tours, where you can explore hidden aspects of Ireland's National Cemetery, learning about remarkable figures that shaped many aspects of Ireland and aspects of death and mourning in Irish history.

As part of Winter in Dublin, Experience Glasnevin welcomes the public to Glasnevin Cemetery for a 60 minute Winter Solstice Tour every Friday, Saturday and Sunday between 1 Nov and 22 Dec at 12 noon. On this tour, one of our expert guides will bring you through the cemetery, exploring 200 years of Irish history through the people buried and cremated in the cemetery.

Under the Winter sky, our guides will tell the stories of remarkable figures that shaped Irish history, as well as interesting people lost to the ether of time. They will also discuss aspects of death, mourning and funerals in Irish history captured in the archive of Glasnevin Cemetery.
