West Meath Gothic blends aerial dance, physical theatre and live electronic music in a haunting journey through loneliness, imagination and reinvention. Directed by Katie O'Halloran, written and performed by Kate Finegan.

An isolated house. A crackling radio. A woman determined not to vanish.

West Meath Gothic is a new multidisciplinary show written and performed by Kate Finegan and directed by Katie O’Halloran blending aerial dance, visceral physical theatre and live electronic music.

Set in a remote Irish landscape, the work follows Olwyn, an elderly woman living alone with her radio as her unlikely companion. As memory, imagination and reality collide, the boundaries between the worlds she creates and the life she inhabits begin to blur.

Featuring the voice of Tony Award-winning actor Marie Mullen, West Meath Gothic is a darkly atmospheric journey into the Gothic heart of rural Ireland.
