About this event

A free Astrophysics talk from DIAS Professor Tom Ray, Chair of the European Southern Observatory Council, part of Samhain agus Science 2026.

We now know that the Universe is shaped not only by Dark Matter but also by Dark Energy and Dark Forces. In this talk I will explore how we know this and what the repercussions are for the formation of stars and galaxies. While it is true that we are made of cosmic dust, we would also not be here without these mysterious forces.
