About this event

Slán Solas (Irish for "goodbye light") is a gathering with breathwork, sound baths and live music, held as the year turns towards winter.

Take a morning to slow down among photographs from the Band Aid Trust Archive, and join us to celebrate Live Aid's spirit of community as we gently wind down the year.

This winter, the National Library of Ireland continues celebrating Live Aid's 40th anniversary with a new season of events. Our exhibition at the National Photographic Archive, Temple Bar, showcases striking photographs from the Band Aid Trust Archive and captures the scale and emotion of 13 July, 1985.

What to bring: Your own mat (chairs will be available for those who prefer or require them).
