Did you know that bogs are excellent for preserving archaeological material? This Science Week, come to the Museum & meet with the Irish Peatland Conservation Council (IPCC) and learn about the role of bogs in Ireland.

Archeological finds from the wet bogs of Ireland have shared & given us a glimpse into Ireland's past.

Have you ever wondered how do bogs preserve items for thousands of years? On Saturday 18 November join the Irish Peatland Conservation Council (IPCC) at the National Museum of Ireland - Archaeology for a family workshop tracing the formation of Ireland's wet and wild bogs over the past 10,000 years by making a 'Bog in a 'Bottle' and discovering the hidden preservation powers of bogs.
