About this event

On the Ireland launch of FRANKLY, the much anticipated memoir from Scotland's first female and longest serving First Minister Nicola Sturgeon, this intriguing political figurehead will be in Dublin to talk about her life with Today FM's Matt Cooper.

This deeply personal autobiography recounts her journey from working-class Ayrshire to the steps of Bute House. Revealing the person behind the politician, she explores the schism between her private and public personas: one painfully shy and self-critical, the other a consummate public performer.

In conversation with broadcaster and writer Matt Cooper, expect an honest discussion about Sturgeon’s battles, her mistakes and her triumphs - recounting her interactions with figures including Theresa May, Boris Johnson, Donald Trump, and Alex Salmond – her mentor and, ultimately, her staunch adversary. She will pull no punches.
