Goethe Choir Christmas Special 2026

This special seasonal concert features famous choruses and arias from Bach's Christmas Oratorio Handel's Messiah, two musical cornerstones of the Christmas season. Instrumental brilliance is represented by Vivaldi's "Winter" from The Four Seasons, while the gentle beauty of Engelbert Humperdinck's "Abendsegen" from Hänsel und Gretel offers a moment of serene contemplation. The choir will also perform Benjamin Britten's Te Deum in C, a radiant work of praise and thanksgiving, to remember his 50th anniversary of death. Completing the programme is a delightful selection of international Christmas carols, reflecting the rich diversity of Christmas traditions. This concert promises an evening of beauty, inspiration, and festive cheer for all.
