About this event
Spectacular dramatic comedy comes to the Abbey stage this Spring where the villainous Tartuffe shocks and enthrals with his deceptive powers. In a new version of Molière’s Tartuffe retold for 2023 by Irish writer Frank McGuinness. Directed by Artistic Director of the National Theatre, Caitríona McLaughlin, this 17th century classic is given an audacious contemporary makeover. Where truth faces off with deceit, while unveiling who actually will has the last laugh!
The play premieres at the Abbey Theatre from Thursday 09 March until Saturday 08 April, touring to five venues from April 12 – May 13.
Readers are advised to check with the venue before relying on the details published here.
