When David Bowie passed away in early 2016, the world collectively mourned. People gathered around his records, descended on his off-Broadway play, and watched the Man Who Fell To Earth through tearful eyes.

A year later, Dublin hosted its very first Bowie Festival, enjoying a successful first run that saw a huge turnout of folks ready to dance, sing, party and commemorate the one-year anniversary of the passing of the Thin White Duke.

In 2018 the Dublin Bowie Festival has expanded its programme to incorporate many other facets of David Bowie, including his love for collecting visual art.

Wander among the work of six contemporary visual artists and immerse yourself in their personal interpretations of 10 David Bowie songs. The song titles have been chosen by some of Ireland’s leading media stars/Bowie superfans so you can be sure this exhibition of A1 posters will get to the heart of what David Bowie’s music was all about.
