Kevin Keegan My Life In Football

Football legend Kevin Keegan will visit The Olympia Theatre in early 2019 to discuss his incredible career playing the beautiful game.

To celebrate the release of his autobiography, My Life In Football, Keegan is visiting Dublin to partake in a special talk which will cover what amounts to one of the most remarkable careers in a sport full of them.

Keegan was discovered playing for lowly Scunthorpe United by legendary Liverpool manager Bill Shankly, who moulded him into the all action striker at the centre his Liverpool team. Keegan played a starring role in victories in the FA Cup in 1974, and the UEFA Cup in 1976, and was instrumental in delivering Liverpool's first European Cup in 1977 under Bob Paisley.

Keegan's later career saw him move to Hamburg in Germany and win another European Cup and two Ballons d'Or. After his playing days were finished, he led Newcastle from the Second Division to within a whisker of the Premier League title, and eventually coached the English national team.

You can hear the man affectionally known as "Keggy" reveal all about the highs and lows of a unique career at this amazing one-off show.
