Join jewellery designer and goldsmith Eve Doyle who will demonstrate the Korean technique, Keum Boo. Keum-boo is an ancient Korean gilding technique used to apply thin sheets of gold to silver, to make silver-gilt. Traditionally, this technique is works by raising a layer of pure silver to the surface of sterling silver. Then 24 carat gold foil is applied with heat and pressure fusing the old to the silver in a permanent bond.

Eve’s work is currently on display at the National Museum of Ireland – Decorative Arts & History site as part of the new exhibition InForm.
