The Irish Rugby Institute (IRI) is a professional Rugby Coaching company based in Dublin Ireland. Their mission is to develop young players in the game of rugby, nationally and internationally, in tandem with nurturing the core values of the sport. Everything they do is delivered with Irish cultural flavour and ‘craic’.

Domestic players can attend Easter and Summer rugby camps for players aged between 4 and 11.
Facilitated by their expert team, these camps provide the perfect blend of learning and play, making sure every child gets what they need, no matter their experience level or aspirations.

The Academy is hosted at Suttonians Rugby Club in Sutton, Dublin 13 and aimed at older players from the age of 12 to 18 years. - This camp is suited to both the local and international participant looking to join the IRI adventure. An 8-week One-on-One progamme for all levels, from beginner to professional, is based out of the Dublin 13 venue.

International students can enjoy a home stay with an Irish family to really benefit from the full Irish experience first hand. Residential options are available too for groups and teams wishing to remain as a unit for their stay. They also operate bespoke courses overseas in liaison with clubs and rugby bodies in countries like Spain, Portugal, Austria, Italy and more.

Their coaching philosophy begins with a focus on delivering age-specific holistic training programmes with rugby skills and values development as the core content.

The programmes include: Individual skills/Units Skills/Position Specific Skills/Athletic Development/ Speed Work/Mental Prep/Cross Sports Skills/Team Building/Rugby History & Appreciation/Cross Nationality Teamship/Values/Fun

The IRI adheres to and believes in the Long Term Player Development pathway marked out by World Rugby. They work hard in structuring their courses to align to the developmental stages as researched and outlined. After many years working with the developing player they have numerous examples of players who have come through their system from Fun (Stage 1) right through to Preparation and Performance (Stage 2-3) many going on to excel with their province or country. Ireland, Spain, Italy, Sweden to name a few.

English language Classes are available (ACELS approved schools) to our overseas athletes who wish to further develop their academic language skills while training and soclialising in an English speaking environment.
