Combining cutting edge new media with the social issues of the day, Budapest-based artist and cultural activist Szabolcs KissPál doesn’t shy away from the big questions.

His work to date has a strong focus on the ideological manipulation of history and misused national symbolism in both politics and the public sphere and new exhibition From Fake Mountains to Faith continues in this timely vein.

Exploring the complicated nature of political communities and the shifting political and public perspective on trauma and memory, From Fake Mountains to Faith consists of two large format docu-fiction videos (Amorous Geography, The Rise of the Fallen Feather) and an installation presented as a fictitious museum setting (The Chasm Records).

If you like your art challenging, take an afternoon off and delve into KissPál's world. Broadened horizons guaranteed.
