Féile Nasc

Féile Nasc Promotions have teamed up with Four Provinces Brew Company to bring you Dublin’s 1st outdoor folk and traditional music festival. This one-day festival takes place in front of the amazing Marlay House. The beautiful natural surroundings will provide the perfect backdrop for some incredible folk and traditional music. Féile Nasc is perfect for those looking for the festival atmosphere in the city. Public transport links to the festival site are excellent. The Féile Nasc festival site will comprise of 2 main areas, the Main Stage and The Síbín Tent. The Síbín will feature some of Dublin’s best young and up and coming folk and trad artists in a laid back atmosphere.
The Main Stage area will feature some of Ireland’s foremost Folk and Traditional musicians. Liam Ó Maonlaí has been travelling and playing rock and roll music as frontman with The Hothouse Flowers for over thirty years. However, his roots are in the music of the four corners of Ireland. Liam will be joined on stage by some of Ireland’s most innovative and decorated musicians in the form of Ré. Maitiú Ó Casaide (pipes), Cormac Begley (Concertina), Eithne Ní Chatháin (Vocals and Fiddle) and Peter O Toole (Accompaniment) make up the band Ré.
Also performing on the Main Stage will be The Bonny Men whose most recent album ‘Moyne Road’ has been described as ‘a scintillating album’ (The Living Tradition). Following the release of their Gavin Glass produced album ‘Rising’, Black Bank Folk quickly took the folk scene by storm. The band have performed throughout Ireland with Damien Dempsey taking in Electric Picnic and three sold-out nights in Vicar St. They have been described as ‘The Rising Stars of Folk’ (Irish Times) and are sure to create a buzz when they hit the Main Stage.
Other performers taking to the Main Stage will be Steo Wall who is ‘set to join the likes of Damien Dempsey and Shane McGowan as a pioneering voice in Irish Folk Music’ (Hot Press) and Liam O’ Connor whose has been described as ‘possibly one of the most exciting fiddle players on the music scene since the emergence of Seán Keane and Frankie Gavin’ (Irish Times). Féile Nasc Main Stage will also play host to Sisterix, Róisín Chambers and Lad Lane.
The experienced team at Native Spaces will provide fantastic locally-sourced food for festival-goers. There will be something for everyone including delicious vegan and gluten-free options.
Families are welcome to attend Féile Nasc. Activities for kids will include nature walks, face painting and yoga provided by Óga Yoga. Service in all areas of the festival will be available in Irish and in English.
Féile Nasc aims to bring the local and wider community together in an amazing natural environment to enjoy some of the best music Ireland has to offer.
Féile Nasc is extremely grateful for funding provided by Dún Laoghaire Rathdown County Council.
