European Rugby Champions Cup Quarter Final Leinster vs Saracens

Leinster take on Saracens in the Aviva Stadium on Easter Sunday in what looks to be the pick of the four extremely competitive quarter-finals in the European Rugby Champions Cup.

Leinster will go into the game as first seeds having secured six wins from six in the pool stage, no mean feat considering that their group contained the league leaders in the Top 14 in Montpellier, the league leaders in the Aviva Premiership in Exeter, and the league leaders in the Pro12 in Glasgow.

Meanwhile, Saracens had to rely on a favour from Wasps to guarantee their passage into the knockout stages of the tournament after a tricky first half of the season.

However Saracens are not reigning two-time champions of Europe for no reason, and they will be confident of being able to upset the applecart with an away win and set themselves on the road to equal Leinster’s three European Cup victories.

Meanwhile Leinster know that if they can secure victory, their position as favourites to lift the trophy in Bilbao in May will be further reinforced.

This promises to be a mouthwatering clash to two European rugby powerhouses.
