Concerts & Gigs

Join the staff and students at the Royal Irish Academy of Music for this day-long concert series celebrating the life and music of French composer Claude Debussy.

One of the most influential names in not only classical music but also French history and culture, Debussy, who died March 25, 1918, was in his time at the forefront of piano writing, becoming known worldwide for his progressive approach to form and harmony and inspiring generations of composers and musicians.

This concert will pay fitting homage to his contributions to contemporary classical music by highlighting some of his best-loved piano works, along with selected chamber music pieces that will rouse the soul. A number of pianists - both up-and-coming and renowned - will put on a performance series to remember.
