The National Museum of Ireland on Kildare Street will host two educational workshops full of wonder and discovery about an amazing book, The Faddan More Psalter, which was preserved in a bog for over 1,000 years.

The Faddan More Psalter was found in a Tipperary bog in 2006 and has been skillfully conserved and preserved in the National Museum’s conservation laboratory. It was a discovery of international importance to archaeologists, and is a unique historical treasure.

The workshops will teach you about the book itself, about Medieval Ireland in which it was created, and will also show you how to create some of your own calligraphy in the style of the book.
