Yamamori Izakaya is located on Georges St, and opened it’s doors in 2011 in what was originally Ireland’s very first cafe. Downstairs is the Japanese style drinking house, serving small Japanese tapas dishes (Japas), the famous Izakaya cocktails, and plenty of whiskeys, beers and sake. Here you can enjoy the 1940's Chinese beer ads, movie posters, and some urban lounge, and deep soul tunes from Dublin’s up and coming DJ’s.Yamamori offers an authentic Japanese cultural experience from three characteristic venues in the heart of Dublin City Centre. All three venues are in walking distance of all Dublin’s historical attractions, such as the Guinness Storehouse, Trinity College and St. Stephen’s Green. The Yamamori restaurants neatly frame the historical city centre, by the Ha’Penny Bridge (1816) and in Ireland’s first cafe on Georges St (1894). After nineteen years as Dublin’s first ever Japanese restaurant, Yamamori offers 3 characteristic restaurants and 2 lively sake bars. Whether is be a comforting bowl of chunky aromatic noodles, a sunny afternoon enjoying the freshest, fluffiest sushi and in the Bamboo Garden, or dancing the night away with fresh fruit cocktails at Izakaya. Yamamori has something for everyone! “Yamamori rarely disappoints with its bubbly service and vivacious cooking” (TheLonelyPlanet). Yamamori has something for everyone, whether is be an authentic Japanese dinner in Yamamori Noodles, a sunny afternoon in the Sushi Bamboo Garden, casual Japas and cocktails in the Izakaya drinking house, or birthday celebrations and ping pong in the Tengu Bar.
