Number Twenty Nine is a completely restored middle class house of the late 18th century. The owners, Electricity Supply Board and National Museum of Ireland, have sought to recapture the atmosphere and furnishings of a typical comfortable home of the period 1790 to 1820. From the basement right through to the attic is housed a unique collection of artefacts and works of art of the time. Wander through the elegant living rooms, family bedrooms, nursery and playroom. In addition to its collection of period furniture and fine paintings are the attentively maintained carpets, curtains, floor coverings, decoration and plasterwork. It is a jewel in the crown of Georgian Dublin.Tea room and gift shop on site which are open during normal opening times.
