Music & Dance

Mary Black is one of the greatest female voices that Ireland has arguably ever known. As a singer with bands like De Dannan and a multi-platinum record holder, Mary has been making waves in the music industry since the mid-1970s.

Mary grew up in a musical family - you may have also heard of her very successful sister, Frances Black - and started climbing the ladder to the top of the business by playing with her brothers, who were all skilled musicians.

This journey really set Mary up for a career full of musical collaborations with the likes of American folk hero Joan Baez, as well as her own stellar solo albums. Unleashing her full power in the early 1990s, Mary's name started to be whispered in the same sentences as Enya and Sinead O'Connor.

This gig will be a fabulous chance to see Mary perform with her band, the members of which are all stars in their own rights. Listen to some of your favourite numbers as Mary dials up the drama at the Pavilion Theatre.
