As Dublin has expanded past the boundaries of the course, Hermitage Golf Club in Lucan, Co. Dublin is now a rural oasis in the midst of a bustling vibrant metropolis. Bordered on one side by the arterial N4 national route and on the other by the meandering River Liffey, this course offers a perfect respite to the hassle and high tempo of the life that surrounds it.

Hermitage Golf Club was founded in 1905. Under the Management of Head Greenkeeper Mark Harrington the course has been awarded Best Parkland Course in 2013, 2016 and 2017. The Club has held many International events over the years and hosted some distinguished guests including Bing Crosby, Prince Rainier and President Hillery. Padraig Harrington is a regular visitor and Rory McIlroy said "The course was a real challenge and the greens were of a quality only seen on tour”. Former Ryder Cup Captains have also enjoyed their visits to Hermitage such as Seve Ballesteros, Colin Montgomerie, Ian Woosnam and Paul McGinley.

The gentle rolling of the front nine contrast with the stern test that awaits many on the back nine. The picturesque 10th lures with its spectacular beauty, while the 11th and 12th show that even extraordinary beauty can hold many surprises. Hermitage will enthral and test in equal measure and will provide an experience that all golfers will want to repeat.

Full catering and its famous bar and restaurant facilities complement the course to ensure a full-day experience. Visitors are welcome.
