The Giant's Causeway tour features a guided coach tour of the best of Northern Ireland’s landscapes including the Glens of Antrim scenic way, the Giant’s Causeway and the Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge, as well as introducing you to its historical capital: Belfast. Depart from Dublin heading North to connect with the scenic Glens of Antrim coast drive. This drive has been compared to Highway 1 in California and the Great Ocean Road in Australia, with its sweeping views across the sea on the one side, and limestone cliffs on the other, while passing through small coastal villages with rocky harbours. Traverse this bridge to the island, with its abundance of bird-life, after having done a 15 minute scenic cliff walk. The Giants Causeway is the highlight of the trip – a UNESCO World Heritage site - which consists of a series of over 40,000 hexagonal shaped rocks that looks like a grand set of stairs leading into the sea-the formation of which astounding generations of people, resulting in many a myth and stories surrounding their origin. Then onto a photo stop at Dunluce Castle - considered to be one of the most romantic promontory fortresses in the world, before turning southwards again.
