June 16th is Bloomsday, the very day in 1904 on which all the action of James Joyce’s renowned novel Ulysses takes place. A lively celebration of all things Joyce, join avid Joyceans from all over the world as they descend on Dublin on June 16th.

In Dublin, where the novel is set, the Bloomsday celebrations take place across the week, with most of the fun and frivolous activities taking place on the day itself.

Whether dropping into iconic Sweny’s Pharmacy for some lemon soap, popping out to Martello Tower, or partaking in protagonist Leopold Bloom’s lunch habits with a gorgonzola sandwich, Bloomsday is always a great day to roam Joyce’s capital.

Ulysses follows the life and thoughts of Leopold Bloom and a host of other characters – real and fictional – from 8am on 16th June 1904, right through to the early hours of the following morning so make sure you don't miss a single part of this fantastic day in Dublin.
