Golf in Dublin

Old-school parkland courses to challenging links.
There's enough choice in Dublin to satisfy every kind of golfer.

Within the county boundaries you’ll find over 30 courses including unmissable links, parkland layouts, historic clubs and championship courses. Ireland’s second oldest golf club, Royal Dublin Golf Club, is an impressive site tucked into the taxing wild and windswept Bull Island. A spectacular golf links course and six-time host of the Irish Open, it’s been played by some of the golf world’s biggest names.

Further north, around Dublin Bay, are two exceptional golf courses. Portmarnock Golf Club was founded in 1894 and ranks as one of the best links in the world. Not far is Portmarnock Golf Links, which is younger but equally challenging.

But it's not all about 18 hole challenges. In Dublin you'll also find a range of nine-hole clubs, pitch and putt courses and driving ranges. There's just no excuse for not working on that handicap.
