12th – 15th June – Iveagh Gardens

Dublin LBGTQ Pride Festival

Big and bright, the Dublin Lesbian Gay Bisexual Transgender & Queer (LGBTQ) Pride Festival takes place every June in Dublin and is one of the largest festivals in Ireland, whether you’re LGBTQ, have friends or family who are, want to learn more about diversity or just want to take part in an amazing festival, Dublin Pride is a festival that features events that will interest everyone, second only to Dublin’s St Patrick’s Day Parade as the largest Parade in Ireland.

22nd June, North bull Island
Fun, fresh air and frolics abound! The second annual Dublin Kite Festival offers free entertainment all day long at North Bull Island. The festival will challenge kite enthusiasts from all over Ireland and abroad to show off their stunt skills and compete for a number of awards across a wide range of categories including most aerodynamic, most beautiful, and funniest. Bring your own kite, enjoy kite demonstrations, competitions, a food village, learn to build your own kite, or simply come spectate and enjoy the riot of colour!
9th-16th June Citywide
Bloomsday celebrates Thursday 16 June 1904 as that day is depicted in James Joyce’s novel Ulysses. The day is named after Leopold Bloom, the central character in Ulysses. The novel follows the life and thoughts of Leopold Bloom and a host of other characters – real and fictional.
Over the course of the weekend Festival expect walks, talks, theatre, street performance, lectures and exhibitions all centered on Leopold Bloom.
The World Flower Show
18th – 22nd June, The RDS
The World Flower Show comes to Dublin this month. This exhibition will showcase the beautiful and extravagant creations of flower arrangers from all over the world. When you wish to take a break from viewing the magnificent floral designs, you can browse the demonstrations, lectures, and exhibits.
