The countdown for Christmas is on! Help us officially launch the Christmas Season by coming along to the Festival of Lights on Sunday 22nd November, at 4.30pm on O’ Connell St.

This is a free event with family entertainment for all, including live music, carol singing and much more!

Make sure to get there early, and remember to wrap up warm so you can enjoy the wonderful Christmas atmosphere. Switching on the Christmas tree lights in O’ Connell Street has been an integral part of Christmas in Dublin for many years, and is one of the city’s landmark events in the run up to Christmas.

The programme of events is due to start at 4.30pm and will include Stilt-walkers, St. Andrews Choir - Westland Row, and the Discovery Gospel Choir, along with our Lord Mayor, Cllr. Emer Costello, who will turn on the lights at 6pm followed by a Special Guest Performance – to be announced nearer the day.

A fun event for all the family - not to be missed!
