Jason McAteer, Alan Kelly, Don Givens plus FAI professional coaches take part in the Docklands Festival of Football, 6th to 8th April, 2010

This expert coaching team will be teaching soccer skills to children from Dublin's Docklands during the 8th Annual Docklands Festival of Football. This very special event takes place from Tuesday, 6th April to Thursday, 8th April 2010 and was developed to help young people from the Docklands to develop their soccer skills and become more confident and accomplished players.

Gerry Kelly, Acting CEO of the Docklands Authority said he was delighted to see these young players develop their skills. "This program is a fantastic opportunity for local children to learn from Irish footballing legends as well as instilling them with confidence in their everyday lives. Sport is an integral part of children's physical and social development and the level of enthusiasm amongst the children and the wider Docklands community for this initiative over the past eight years assures us that it will continue to be a success for many years to come" he said.

The Dublin Docklands Festival of Football takes place at the Oscar Traynor Complex in Coolock and is open to 8-13 year olds from the Dublin Docklands area. Since it first began in 2003, it has attracted over 800 young Docklanders.
