Following a very successful festival in 2007 Dublin City Council Arts Office is delighted to announce the Northside Music Festival 2008. This year’s festival has grown with 18 performances over 15 dates featuring a wealth of Irish and International talent. The Festival runs from the 29th of July to 28th of August in various locations both indoor and outdoor.
The Festival offers a programme of diverse free music events across the north of the city. The venues are unique in that they do not usually host professional musical performances such as the Northside Shopping Centre, the St. Pappin’s Church, Santry; St. Finbarr’s GAA Club, Cabra, along with Dublin City Parks and civic spaces.
This years line up includes Opera Gala, Havana Son, Gráda,Veda, Paprika Balkanicus, O’Mambo, Kevin Glackin and friends, Yurodny, Brendan Walsh and friends, Prey, No Crows, Robbie Harris and Emer Mayock.
The festival is part of Dublin City Council’s Arts office extended arts service to city communities. There really is something for everyone with a range of musical talent across a range of musical cultures.
Admission to all performances is free
