The great struggle for workers’ rights, known as the Dublin Lockout, lasted five months and involved tens of thousands of workers and their families. After it, Ireland was never the same again. In the words of President, Michael D. Higgins, it was a “foundation event in the history of the State”.
This experience is not suitable for children. It involves a gritty subject and the experience is intense and powerful. In addition the actors engage with the audience in confined spaces. Children under 12 cannot be admitted and attendance of older children is at the discretion of parents.
