Present Laughter

PERFORMED BY BALALLY PLAYERS. Noel Coward's Present Laughter. A smart witty romp through a farcical few days in the life of a celebrity Join preening matinée idol Garry Essendine in his luxury penthouse, feel his horror at turning 40, and see him try to cope with a succession of friends, fans or hangers-on arriving in his London home. Watch them try to seduce him, serve him, berate him or befriend him as they whirl in and out of his flat or hide in adjoining rooms. No wonder he can't wait to escape on his tour of Africa! Despite his behavioural shortcomings, Garry is fun to be with; the kind of person who could brighten up even the dullest day with his outrageous theatrical speeches, or his cutting witty remarks. A whirlwind of head-wrecking visitors—the predatory mistress, a wanna-be actress, a star-struck playwright—vie with his cynical secretary, his controlling ex-wife, his business partner double-act, even the Swedish maid— to be the first to drive Garry demented!

Call in to the Box Office at Mill Theatre Dundrum. We're open from Monday to Saturday, 12.30pm-5.30pm. Open 1 hour prior to all performances. Or ring us on 01 296 9340.
