Marking the official start to Christmas in the city centre, Sunday, 25th of November will be a fantastic free festive day out for all the family .
The Lord Mayor of Dublin, Naoise Ó Muirí, will launch Dublin’s biggest Christmas tree lighting ceremony on O’Connell Street. Christmas carol singers from both the Halleluia Gospel Choir and St. Andrew’s Choir will join the Army band to perform on O’Connell Street to spread Christmas cheer!
People are encouraged to dig out their cheesiest Christmas jumper and join them for the Geansai Nollaig 2012 challenge at 3.30pm on O’Connell Street to set a new world record for the most number of people wearing Christmas jumpers in the one place at the same time.
