Waiting For Godot
Directed by Peter Reid
‘Waiting for Godot’ is frequently described as the greatest play of the 20th century and the play where nothing happens twice. Friends, Didi and Gogo wait for Godot beside a tree on a country road. While waiting, they banter, joke, play, argue and make up, meet Pozzo and his slave Lucky. And go on waiting… This tragi-comic masterpiece owes more to the antics of Laurel and Hardy than would first appear, as our would-be heroic double act amuse themselves while waiting patiently for the salvation they believe they’ve been promisedby a man they never met.
Presented by AC Productions, this company has played to packed houses both at home and abroad and return to the Hong Kong Academy of Performing Arts next week. 'A fine production' the Sunday times, Culture Magazine.
