Volvo Dun Laoghaire Regatta

The Volvo Dun Laoghaire Regatta is not just about the sailing, it is also about giving people the opportunity to embrace the lifestyle that is synonymous with sailing and for 2013 all Irish sailors currently living abroad are invited to return home to participate in this very special event. The Organisers and Waterfront Yacht Clubs will be putting together an on shore program combining the excitement of world class sailing, good food, wine, vibrant people, engaging lifestyle entertainment and spectacular views of Dublin Bay.

With 3,000 sailors and over 450 boats spread across 25 classes, the four-day regatta held on Dublin Bay is the largest participant sporting event in Ireland (with the exception of the mini marathons) yet has the welcoming, friendly atmosphere of a smaller event. A magnificent spectacle of colour and fun for all the family. Racing open to cruisers, one designs and dinghies. For more details and to enter check out the website.
