Various Voices "Singing in the City"
Venues: 4 indoor venues (Hugh Lane Gallery, Dublin City Hall, Meeting House Square and Axis Ballymun as well as pop up choir locations on the streets of Dublin including, Wolfe Tone Square, Henry Street (outside Arnotts), South King Street, outside the Gaiety Theatre and Castle Market.
Various Voices is an international choral festival for gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender choirs and choruses. It is taking place in Dublin for the first time and is being hosted by the award winning Gloria, Dublin's Lesbian & Gay Choir. To celebrate, a series of FREE public concerts, titled 'Singing in the City' will be held on Saturday 14th and Sunday 15th June 2014. These concerts will be performed by choirs that have travelled from around the world to take part in the Various Voices festival.
There will be over 50 choirs singing in four venues across Dublin over the weekend: City Hall (Dame Street), Meeting House Square (Temple Bar) Dublin City Gallery The Hugh Lane (Parnell Square) and axis:ballymun. Tickets are not necessary for any of the city centre venues. Tickets must be booked from axis Ballymun for that event by caling them on 01 8832100 or firstname.lastname@example.org
