Trip nós

Trip-nós - it’s disco but not as you know it. Experience a completely unique dance experiment mixing Ireland’s indigenous ‘sean-nós’ dance with contemporary disco-inspired moves. Trip-nós is a live performance / workshop mixing sean-nós and contemporary dance with electronic and traditional music.

Trip-nós invites you to kick loose and perform using a fusion of tradition and electronic art forms. 4 dancers bring you on a journey where two styles collide resulting in an outrageous 80’s themed dance-off! Dress to impress.

Curated by Sibéal Davitt, one of Ireland’s leading sean-nós dancers. Having won TG4’s talent show Glas Vegas in 2009, she went on to perform in Las Vegas and other noted venues and festivals including Electric Picnic, Celtic Connections and The National Concert Hall. She learned classical ballet, jazz and contemporary from the age of 5 and is known for mixing different styles of dance in her performances.
