The fifth and final annual Trinity College Dublin Shakespeare Festival will run from the 3rd - 8th June this year, and is set to be the biggest Shakespeare Festival ever to take place in Ireland. 500 performers will take part in over 50 performances of Shakespeare’s work, as well as various events and workshops. Both the city and college will be transformed into ‘living’ spaces in which Shakespeare’s work will be presented and celebrated through community outreach performances, outdoor scenes as well as events and workshops.
The Festival aims to expand this year its extensive programme of civic engagement. This year we are looking to bring performances of Shakespeare to other underprivileged groups and schoolchildren. This is coupled with a daily free light entertainment events such as: choral performances, circus acts, film screenings, public lectures from some of Trinity College’s most distinguished academics, food and drink tasting and comedy performances for students and visitors alike.
