The Roscommon Famine Diaspora

Visit the National Library of Ireland this Summer. As part of our contribution to The Gathering, we are hosting a series of lunchtime lectures on different aspects of Irish family history research in July and August 2013. Lectures will take place in the Seminar Room at 1pm and will last approximately 30 minutes Attendance is Free, no booking required just drop in on the day.

On Thursday 8 August Ciaran Reilly, NUI Maynooth will discuss The Roscommon Famine Diaspora

Dr Ciarán Reilly is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Centre for the Study of Historic Irish Houses & Estates, Department of History, NUI Maynooth where he is carrying out research on the Strokestown Park House Archive. His published works include John Plunket Joly and the Great Famine in King's County (2012).
